Fashion Design
Hey everyone! My name is Brittany Thompson and I am currently pursing my bachelors degree at Brigham Young University - Idaho in Apparel Entrepreneurship with a minor in French and Business Management. As an apiring designer I started to sketch out ideas in and an aspiring fashion designer currently attending Brigham Young University-Idaho. I started designing clothes in high school and have been ever sense. I learned to sew at a young age and started sewing bags during my senior year in high school. I am in love with the fashion industry and can't wait to see where it takes me!
Mission
Pushing myself to success, has opened up opportunities for me that have allowed me to understand my future goals in the fashion industry. Understanding that, I have been driven help myself accomplish these goals in order to see my designs walking down a runway at Paris, London, or Milan Fashion Week.
Vision
Currently I am looking for internships in the summer of 2023 and 2024. I want to be able to apply these internships to my future career and gain real-world experiences. These opportunities are resources for personal and educational growth and I can't wait to have the chance to work with your company!
WHy Fashion?

I was first introduced to the fashion industry at a young age due to my dad working at a large clothing company. I was able to see the designing processes and how outfits were made and styled. I learned about many retail companies, styles, fabrics, and jobs within the fashion industry. It wasn't until eighth grade that I finally decided that I wanted to pursue a career in the fashion industry. I have many dreams and goals with this job and hope to have my designs walking down some of the top Fashion Week's in the world. To me, this job would allow me to express my creativity and do something I love.

In my life, I have seen myself grow and accomplish many things. My proudest accomplishment, that has allowed me to express my creativity, is painting my bedroom with unique designs which has gained me ninety-thousand followers combined on social media platforms. Having this experience, I was able to express my creativity and understand how important it is to me. Knowing that, my goals towards the fashion industry grew. It was something that was challenging, knowing your business could ultimately grow or fail if you weren't a strong designer. This pushed me to understand how important it is to take the steps to create that career path that I desired.
Today, I am taking these steps by applying for internships, growing my sewing abilities through altering patterns and clothing items, sewing items from scratch, sketching out ideas, and creating an online earring business. I am learning to strengthen my weakness and become comfortable with the uncomfortable so I can succeed. Doing this, I am pushing my creativity and allowing myself to grow in these areas.
